Online Surveys for Schools
mtmconsulting has more than 20 years’ experience of conducting in-depth research for schools, colleges and their associations and representative bodies. Online questionnaires and surveys are conducted with great sensitivity, under the strictest professional standards and in accordance with data protection regulations. We have carried out research in this way with tens of thousands of parents, pupils, teaching and SMT staff, governors and wider stakeholder groups.
All of our online surveys are bespoke for your needs and we can benchmark your results against other schools in order to help you understand your true positioning.
In our parental surveys for schools we work closely with you to put together a bespoke questionnaire for all of your current parents to complete. These are hosted via a secure online weblink, using our dedicated survey software, (though we can also carry out postal surveys if required). mtm provides template text for you to communicate with your parents and monitors response rates throughout the ‘live’ period, recommending a reminder to parents if required.
Our surveys are an excellent way to explore a broad number of areas, including:
- How parents heard about your school, and the other schools they considered
- Reasons parents chose your school and the importance of a range of factors
- How satisfied they are with your provision
- Satisfaction with your communications
- Overall perceptions of your school and whether parents would recommend it
We analyse and feedback our findings in a full report, benchmarked against other schools. We can also assess differences in feedback at various ages, amongst boys and girls; and day/boarding pupils etc.
Using the same process we can also undertake surveys of staff and pupils in your school, or alumni.
Our online surveys help you to understand how your stakeholders really feel about your school, and how you meet their expectations. You can gain insight into your school’s unique strengths and the areas you should improve, establish a benchmark against which to monitor future progress, and identify areas of priority using our ‘anxiety coefficient’ which compares parents’ satisfaction against their ranking of an aspect’s importance.
Surveys are a great way to be seen by your parents, staff, pupils or alumni to be actively listening and responding to them, and using an expert third-party like mtm ensures that respondents perceive you as carrying out the research professionally and with rigour.
