A draft programme has been released for mtmconsulting’s seminar Charting a Safe Course to 2020, which is to be held on Friday 13th November at Coutts Bank, 440 Strand, London WC2. The programme and registration form can be viewed here.

The seminar, which takes mtmconsulting’s groundbreaking publication Independent Education Sector Report 2010 as its starting point, will explore the implications of recession, falling affordability, strains on public sector spending and government policy on education businesses. The event is aimed at independent school and college heads, bursars, marketing managers and governors.

Presentations will be given by mtm’s principal, Melanie Tucker; our head of school research and strategy, Dick Davison; the former head of The Perse School and HMC Chair Nigel Richardson; and AGBIS training and membership secretary, Nigel Noble.

Talks will focus on:

  • Demographic, political and financial change in the UK over the next decade and how these will affect school business strategies
  • Changes inside the classroom and how schools and colleges should manage these
  • School business strategies and education cost management
