The presentation slides from the fourth mtmconsulting / Veale Wasbrough annual conference: Practical Strategies for Challenging Times are available to download here.
The conference, which focused on school business strategies, education marketing and showcased the newly released mtmconsulting Independent Education Sector Report 2010, was reported to be a great success, attracting attention from several of the major UK broadsheets.
Speakers included mtmconsulting Principal Melanie Tucker and schools business expert Dick Davison; former Director of Saatchi (New York) Robert Fletcher, who spoke on Branding and Schools Maketing issues; Veale Wasbrough schools legal issues Doug Locke, Barney Northover, Simon Bevan, Tabitha Cave and Yvonne Spencer; Sir David Bell, Chair of Council at Roehampton University on parallel opportunities and challenges facing universities and independent schools; and a panel of speakers commenting on the economic recovery and its implications for school business strategies including Anastasia de Waal (Civitas), Gavin Humphries (mtmconsulting), John MacGregor (Coutts) and Charles Robinson (Cognita). The event was chaired by Nigel Richardson, former Headmaster of the Perse School and former HMC Chairman.
Senior consultant at mtmconsulting, Joe Faulkner said “the conference seems to have been of real benefit to school business leaders, heads, education marketing managers and bursars alike. The range of speakers and breadth of topic has been applauded by our guests and the day provided genuine insight into appropriate school business strategies as we move from recession to recovery over the coming years. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
