Our annual strategies conference was held on the 7th October at the Royal Over-Seas League.
This year we continued our theme of providing practical advice to help you position your school to compete effectively and to provide up to date information to inform your investment priorities.

This year our key note speaker was Justin Urquhart-Stewart, Head of Corporate Development at 7IM. He is a regular commentator in the media on global financial trends and is well known for his capacity to bring informed and common sense advice to individuals and businesses. He focused on how you should position your school to manage the threats and opportunities in the global economy.
We also presented ground breaking research which provided an invaluable insight into what pupils want from their independent school.
Farrer & Co, who advise some of the highest profile independent schools, provided workshops on topical legal issues.
Charles Robinson, who has been involved in more school acquisitions than most, spoke on why the sector is attractive to investors.
The importance of IT in the sector cannot be overstated and the conference provided a plat form for a practical advice session on creating a future proof IT strategy.
